Dean's List! Whooo!

All I have left to do:
-evaluate my group members for leadership/management, and present on Thursday evening
-take my epi final Thursday morning
-take my critical care final Thursday afternoon

-take my comprehensive predictor in two hours (to see if I'll pass the NCLEX)
-study for critical care

AND THEN I'M DONE! I can finally celebrate Christmas the way I want to, I can paint my nails, I can do game stuff, I can work and make money... whoo.

Saw The Princess and the Frog last night. AWESOME movie. I loved it. I want to go watch it again. :D

The end is in sight. In about 36 hours, I'll be halfway to graduation. Oh man.

I want to play young Minerva again... anyone know of any place that could use a young Minerva?

Next week work wise is going to kill me! Let me explain to you all why:

My Work Schedule thus far!

Sunday the 20th - 6:30 am -2:15 pm
Monday the 21st - 6:30 am-5:15 pm (Which is about a 10 hour day at work!!!)
Wed the 23rd - 11:15-7:30 pm
Satuday the 26th 5:30 am -7:30pm 

The only good things are that I work 30+ hours that week and I get out early on Sunday. Besides that I am going to be very very tired and cranky.

Rodolphus at Wished would still love a few unique roles filled. Following the recent takeover of the Ministry of Magic by Voldemort and his Death Eaters, Rodolphus has been tasked with finding people to join the Snatchers. The problem? We don't have nearly enough dark-minded adults around! There are many possibilities - any former students, of course. Any name only canon names that you want to flesh out as an OC Snatcher too would probably work! We just need some dark to counteract all the damn Order members we have around!

Some definite possibilities I'd love to see? Fenrir Greyback, Scabior, Thorfinn Rowle, Miles Bletchley, Rufus Fudge, Bole, Derrick, Marcus Flint, C. Warrington - maybe even Cormac McLaggen? OCs might be considered as well, if you discuss it with the mods.

At ammods a 'Dark King' has messed up some really complicated magic, and instead of having children to cultivate into an army, he has wound up with witches and wizards of all ages, years, and beliefs! I play Angelina Johnson & Pollux Black... & Rodolphus Lestrange but he doesn't have any specific demands today.

George Weasley! There has just been a new Fred hold, so hopefully he'll go through! Angelina has found out that she ends up married to George, having two children, and a whole lot of nieces and nephews! Molly Prewett is in game, Ginny Weasley, Harry Potter, a 10 year old Bill Weasley, and other characters!
→ I think it would be nice to have him from after they are married/have children, but any aged George would make me VERY HAPPY. In Angelina's time, they've sort of come together over their grief from Fred's death, but they aren't anything serious. If he's younger than 18, he will need a guardian and that would freak Angie right out! Especially if she'd have to explain Fred's death :(

Fred II! There is a Roxanne on hold (and since one of the mods is app'ing her, she's likely to go through!), but I'm selfish and want Fred II as well. At the moment, Ang is kind of jealous that all these parents are meeting their own children, and she wants to meet hers. She was probably a slightly demanding mother, since we all know Angelina has a bit of a problem when she gets in control! I'm sure she worked on that with George, and tried really hard to not be upset if her kids didn't love quidditch.
→ As for ages, I have no preference. If he's under 17 Ang would petition for guardianship, but she's more concerned that he comes over when he comes.

For Pollux Black

Violetta or Cygnus Black! Pollux is one of the few Blacks who actually like his parents! He's 18, had three kids, and is living at home. His mother refuses to help Irma (his wife) raise the children, so they don't have a terrible lot of interaction at home. Pollux got a job thanks to his lovely Daddy, and is quite happy with his life. What he's not happy about, is strangers & "blood traitors" Morag MacDougal and Sirius Black raising his baby sister Cassiopeia. He has petitioned the King and they refuse to do anything about the situation. He is also rather upset he has to plan to see his own sister! If his mum or dad come and are of age, then they would automatically get Cassie. If they are underage, it still might help Pollux's cause.

Hi! I'm Amber, I've been RPing for 6+ years and have been hankering for a game where I could get my hands on a Dennis Creevey, Cormac McLaggen, or a Millicent Bulstrode. I've played each of these characters before so it wouldn't be an issue of my trying them on for size. They're muses that wouldn't mind a home to romp around in! Heres a quick breakdown of how I play each of the folks listed:

I had forgotten how much I like to look at Hugh Dancy. (How does one forget such a thing?!) Also, this makes me laugh for all his creepster staring at the girl as he's reciting Byron. (I also want to know how on earth I have half that poem memorized because I can't remember when I read it or why I would have memorized it). I blame episodic. :)


I didn't really get a lot of studying done today but I'm not so very worried about tomorrow's test. I'll pass the class no matter what I do, really, so I'm not so very worried about it. I spent most of today looking through pictures of Henry Cavill and Hugh Dancy and Jamie Bell a number of other really pretty boys. Mostly Europeans. Clearly this means that I need to make my way across the Atlantic at some point and marry a man (preferably kilt-wearing) and have lots of pretty babies (and I will then name them things like Jamie and Bailey and other names that rp characters of mine have already held). Except maybe not really. Who knows!

This entry has basically turned into a bunch of rambles but that's okay.

My mommy cried today because she started getting all sad for my leaving. We ended up eating pistachios and watching Winnie the Pooh on tv before eating dinner. Then we watched The Sing-Off which wasn't as good as I had kind of hoped it would be. I do so love a good a capella group. If you want a good one, go for a group like Hyannis Sound! (hello, random plug >_> )

Tomorrow I have sushi for lunch with a friend, then my test at three, then dinner with another friend. I can't really remember the last time I had plans like this, but it's kind of nice. Definitely a change from the norm.

And this has been a lot of rambling. So I shall stop now.

I was waiting around to see if there would be an OOC post about it like there was for the Harvest Ball, but since there does not appear to be, this is what my girls got up to during the Christmas dance.

Annie dressed like she said here, in her red dress, black tights and heels charmed red for the night. She did an updo and pinned a sprig of mistletoe in her hair so Syl would have lots of excuses to kiss her (not that he needed the excuse - but it's festive!) and she would have accepted pecks on the cheeks or forehead from everyone else except Rhiannon of course, and they would have had a hawt make-out session in the middle of the floor. >> Annie goes into social butterfly mode in situations like this and would have danced with anyone and everyone who wanted to! And with certain boys (who know who they are) she might've made teasing remarks about how her date is a better dancer than them. She also would have been more physically affectionate with Syl than she was at the Harvest Ball - since things were still new then and they're ~official~ now, so if anyone wanted to take note of that, they're welcome to! All in all, she had an excellent time both during and after the dance (seeing as she did promise her date something about looking gorgeous in nothing, too.

Omg I HATE loud noises first thing in the morning. WHY? There is no need to vacuum at 7:30.

Juliana went in Prefect capacity, and wore this dress in green, I think. She disapproved of all the snogging on the dance floor (surprise, surprise), and would have danced with anyone who asked. And was v v confused by Georgia's attempts to keep her away from Phil. And she probably had a good time over all, though she's more the "you approach me first" type than Annie who will just talk to everyone.

I need to get out of here.

Okay. So I've been using GIMP for about two years now and generally as long as I have high quality photos to work with and with a lot of practice I'm fairly satisfied with the outcome of most everything I make. I never try to make anything terribly fancy with it but I feel like if I had the tools I could do a lot more graphic wise.

So I looked into getting Photoshop a while back and I just checked again tonight and it says that CS4 is $700 unless you're upgrading, where it's $200.

So, my question is, for all those using Photoshop did you really pay $700 for it? If not, how did you get your hands on it?

I guess this could go for PSP too, althought that's only listed as $60 on their wesbite, would users of that program recommend it as comparable to Photoshop?

I always forget that so many people have commented in this journal because of the snaps cups and stuff!

I have a headache that won't go away. Lovely. I hate when that happens.

I am stressed out with all the stuff I have to do, but for the most part that's my own fault, because I'm doing things like, writing NPC scenes for two weeks from now (more about that later), looking at cell phones on Amazon.com and writing in my journal when I should, you know, be studying for epi and finishing the things I need to do for leadership.

Alas. Procrastination = my friend. The best part is, when I do start doing something productive? My mom has to interrupt. Whoo-hoo. I can't win, can I? Haha.

So, speaking of NPC scenes, I started writing out KJ and Riley's interactions. I still can't pick a PB for Riley. I do know that he's tall and lanky, but I didn't want him to look even remotely similar to Auden. So I went PB hunting and technically, I'm still hunting. I first considered Chace Crawford, but he's too pretty, I think, for Riley. (He needs a slightly nerdy look about him, too.) I'm still considering Jamie Johnston, Jason Dohring and Alex Pettyferd, though I think Alex is a little too stuck-up.

If you can think of any other PBs, let me know. (I don't know why I'm obsessing over this so much. Maybe because Riley is very distinct in my head.) He needs to be tall and gangly-looking, and also slightly nerdy-looking. I prefer blonde hair, but brown works too, as long as he has brown eyes.

...yeah. Um, something's burning in my house. I hope my parents didn't burn the food. Sigh.

Okay. I have an hour left before I need to consider getting ready. I should get my epi final problems and my personal narrative for leadership out of the way. Mm-hmm.

Diagon Alley (opened December 7) and I are looking for more players!

I play Theodore Nott and Harry Potter.

For Theo, I would love to see some more Pureblood girls. He hasn't settled down yet, but he's really thinking about it and I'd like to see how he goes with that. We have an Astoria and a Pansy, but someone like Daphne Greengrass added to the mix would be great. Anyone who might work with him at Gringott's would be fun too.

For Harry, some more Gryffindors would be great! Also anyone else who would be in the DMLE. He has his best friends and his wife, but I'd love to see Neville, Seamus, Dean - all of those. I'd also like to see a Ginny and see how their dynamic is now, as they didn't end up a couple.


Plus we'd love anyone else you might think of! We're set in 2009 and really open character wise. We're set with the Trio still in mind but just a bit older and more mature. Have a look here and place a hold if it takes your fancy. :)

Today I woke up and checked my email like I always do. And was notified of this comment. And I am so confused. I mean, my muse thanks you for wishing her a happy birthday, but I don't get why that entry. And it looks like that journal was created today and has posted 360 comments, and I don't get why one of them is to give a fictional character birthday wishes.

But hey, I guess it is Marietta's birthday! She'd be 31 if she was real.
